How to Know When It’s Time for Your Next Chapter

There’s a quiet moment that happens before every big life shift.

It doesn’t usually come with fanfare or flashing lights. It comes in whispers. A feeling you can’t shake. A restlessness that won’t leave you alone. A gentle knowing that what once fit… doesn’t anymore.

I’ve lived through that moment — more than once.

For me, one of the biggest was after I had reached a point in my career where things looked “successful” by every external measure. And yet, I felt deeply off-course. I had spent years being the fixer, the closer, the strategist — the woman who could walk into any room and make things happen.

But I had stopped asking myself if those were the rooms I even wanted to be in.

The Signs You’re Ready for a New Chapter

You may not have language for it yet, but you know something’s shifting. Some signs I’ve seen — in myself and my clients:

  • You’re tired in a way that sleep doesn’t fix.

  • You’re showing up, but your heart’s not in it.

  • You find yourself daydreaming about a different version of your life.

  • Your success doesn’t feel like yours anymore.

  • You crave more meaning, more alignment, more you in your life.

This Doesn’t Mean You’re Failing

This means you’re paying attention.

Change doesn’t always start with a bold decision. Sometimes, it starts with a whisper you finally decide to listen to.

You don’t need to burn everything down. You just need to be honest about what’s no longer working — and curious about what’s trying to emerge.

The Path Forward Starts with Permission

If you're in this space right now, give yourself permission to not have all the answers. Give yourself space to explore. Clarity doesn’t come all at once. It comes in pieces — in conversations, in journal entries, in moments of courage.

You don’t need a five-year plan. You just need to take the next right step.

And trust that something beautiful is already unfolding.
